FAMVIR SIDE EFFECTS Get emergency medical help if you have
any of these signs of an allergic reaction: difficulty in
breathing, hives, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or
throat. Continue taking Famvir and talk to your doctor if
you have any of these less serious side effects: headache,
dizziness, sleepiness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach
pain, confusion, mild itching, skin rash or confusion. Side
effects other than those mentioned may also occur. Talk to
your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or is
bothering you.
DOSAGE OF FAMVIR
The initial dosage of Famvir should be obtained from your
doctor. Dosage may vary from person to person with regard to
a variety of factors, which include severity of the
condition, age and others. Do not consume more or less of
this drug so as to not alter its affects and to prevent
overdose. Famvir should be taken as described by your
doctor. If there are any matters that you do not understand,
refer to your doctor, nurse or a pharmacist and ask him or
her to explain those matters to you clearly. Treatment with
Famvir should start as soon as the first symptoms appear.
Each dose of Famvir should be taken with a glass full of
water before or after meals. Do not discontinue taking this
drug without your doctor’s advice even when your symptoms
lessen.

Famvir (generic name ‘Famciclovir’) is an antiviral drug.
Famvir slows the growth and spread of the herpes virus so
that the body can fight the infection. Famciclovir may not
cure herpes, but it can lessen the symptoms of the
infections.
